Adrian Goodwin is Law Enforcement Practitioner with over 18 years experience and a Hostage Negotiator with the largest metropolitan police department in the world. As a passionate educator she also serves as an adjunct professor in the law and police science department at John Jay College. Adrian was recently named as an International World Civility Ambassador for her cross cultural readiness to stand for justice and peace through civil dialogue. 

 

Her achievements and unwavering committee to her community earned her the opportunity to be featured on Yahoo News, Police 1, New York Post, John Jay College and other media outlets.

Her latest endeavor, a children’s book titled ‘Twins in the City: Let’s Learn About Police Officers,’ serves as a valuable resource for families and educators alike. Adrian’s hope is that it sparks vital conversation that bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community to ensure safety, inclusion and a brighter tomorrow for future generations. Adrian is dedicated building character, communities and communication through her company, Little Civility Hub, which aims to instill values of civility, kindness and respect in young people. 

 

 Adrian has been featured in many local and national media outlets, including Yahoo News,  New York Post , The Bronx Daily Uniondale Herald, and the New Britain Herald  just to name a few. And a host of Podcast both locally and Nationally.

Adrian Goodwin is a  proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Serving is undoubtedly her passion; she has held several leadership positions on the local and regional  level within many organizations, including Board of Director of Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Nassau County Police Activity League and the First Vice President of the  National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Club, Inc.   

 

Adrian earned her Master of Education degree from Cambridge College and Honorable Doctorate Degree of Leadership letters. Most recently, Adrian was awarded the President's Lifetime Achievement Award by President Joseph Biden.
